I find myself with an unexpected day off, because either teachers are powering through for the last week of school or all the other substitutes are like FUCK TAKE ALL THE JOBS. So let's take this opportunity to talk about TV Shows As Boyfriends/Girlfriends/Significant Others because...reasons

Supernatural was like the boyfriend who kept bringing the drama, and I was too laidback for that, especially when we were both having fun with the saving people, family business thing. And the happy moments were dwindling, so I broke it off. I think I stopped watching it at the end of Season 6, and I'm sad about that too.
Leverage was the boyfriend that you couldn't believe was real. He was funny and smart and cheeky and always down for a good time, but could be serious too. You kept wondering if he would jump the shark, but he never did. And then he was ripped from your arms (I'm quoting you and I know it), and you're still mourning it. And hoping that somehow he'll make like Lazarus and come back from the dead. But if he doesn't, at least it ended on a high.
Smallville was a relationship that was AWESOME while it lasted, but it was only for a year, and then he (the writers) kept doing stuff that make me think, "This is going downhill, before get off the ride now." Talk about wasted potential. Years later, my only consolation is fanfic. I feel pretty smug that I left before it really took that turn, so I don't have any lousy memories. Hearing about it is bad enough, and I don't want to know.
I did miss Jensen Ackles turning up in Smallville, though. I missed him turning up in Dark Angel too, but that one wasn't my fault. The networks dicked around with that show, I just kept missing episodes and I stopped watching it. I watched both seasons later on DVD, so that's something. Jensen is good in everything.

Man, some days I wish I new how to quit spn, and other days I don't even care, I've loved him too long to stop now, with him til the wheels fall off.
