SO I WROTE A BUNCH OF MOVIES THAT'LL NEVER HAPPEN

Jan 30, 2013 11:29

uh. Movie synopses...es. Synopsis? Things that are not actually movie scripts at this point in time.

Anyway, I thought I'd put them all in one place, get some photos together for ~visual aids!~ etc...that was two days ago. Compiling visual aids is a pain in the ass.

The Nefertiti Two-Step ~ starring Tom Hardy & Idris Elba

Cat burglar Vinny Smith aka Vincent Aldrich (Elba) is the best at what he does-art in general, but his specialty is in Egyptian artifacts. Reg Fitzgerald is ex-special forces (honorable discharge after injuries sustained driving a pickup truck into the path of a speeding 18-wheeler in order to save a bunch of kids) and now he’s trying to do something with his fairly useless degree in Egyptian Art History.

One fateful day, Vincent is contacted by an anonymous client who wants one of the artifacts Reg is working on restoring during his hellaciously boring day job at the British Museum. Underestimating him because of his limp, Vincent believes this job will be like taking candy from a baby.

After a fight scene critics call “a delightfully charged homage to Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” Vincent offers Reg a job: join him in becoming one of the most notorious art thieves in Britain.

The only problem is, Reg suspects Vincent may be well on his way to stealing his heart.

Wish You Were Here ~ starring Lucy Liu, Gina Torres, and George Clooney

All Ginny Winters (Lucy Liu) wants to do is survive. With the zombie apocalypse sweeping down from the east coast, her best and only
bet is to head west, where rumors of protected human colonies shimmer like mirages in the desert heat.

Still, as a recently unemployed Librarian, her survival skills are more or less based in the theoretical more than the practical. Luckily when a helicopter goes down she knows enough to bandage up the sole survivor: Pilot Mina Hernandez (Gina Torres), who’s badass enough for the both of them.

Teaching Ginny as she goes, these two women cut a swath across the united states, gathering survivors to them as they make a desperate bid for freedom and-between them-share the somewhat hapless love of a man whose talents lie in 1) cooking things and 2) looking pretty (George Clooney).

“ELEVENTY GABILLION STARS” -Amy Poehler

(panpandeus wrote a couple MORE snippets of this idea too!)

Time Runs Different ~ starring Aidan Turner, Alex O'Loughlin, Katie McGrath, Angel Coulby

Though Kiran McCloud (Aidan Turner) always felt there was a piece of him missing, it isn’t until his job as a wildlife photographer takes him back to Ireland, the country of his childhood, that he begins to understand the feeling might have been a little more literal than anticipated.

Pub owner Rick Lahey (Alex O’Laughlin), a transplant from Australia, has been having a hell of a time keeping his business afloat, with one thing
going wrong after another. The locals are whispering it’s the working of the Sidhe, that he’s been cursed somehow. Only Maddie Fearson (Katie McGrath) and Kiran are brave enough to frequent the establishment, and Maddie’s excuse is that she claims to be a witch.

With Maddie constantly whispering about the missing piece of his soul and Rick’s blue eyes and strong arms invading his dreams, it sure is
hard for Kiran to photograph wildlife beyond the occasional sheep. Until one day he spies something-or someone? (Angel Coulby)-that might have the answers to all his problems.

If he can survive the curse of the Sidhe, that is.

(panpandeus and butlerbookbinding EACH wrote snippets of this idea! WHAT IS GOING ON)

Ahhhh yes. I think there were a couple other movie ideas but I'm lazy and they weren't as good. Honestly if I had a genie and three wishes I would use them all to make Wish You Were Here a real thing, ughhhh.

how do i tag this, picspam, writing: i does it
