I've been getting some writing done, so whee! Expect some Sam/Dean fic before the 25th, because that's when it's duuuue
Guys, I just have to talk about last night's episode of Elementary, and how much I love it, and how much I love this SHOW
(
once more under the cut my friends! )
I mean, it's not that I don't see where you're coming from, and it's not that I don't personally think that the "I only ship Holmes/Watson if they're dudes!" argument is bullshit. It is totally bullshit. But a) this is a specific iteration of Holmes and Watson where Watson is currently being paid to keep Sherlock on the straight and narrow addiction-wise, which is going to automatically draw some ethical lines for some people and b) there are a lot of folks who are in fandom specifically because slash works for them and het doesn't. There just are. I'm not saying that's right or wrong or really anything--that's just the way it is. Some people do need two dicks in a relationship to be interested in reading about it, and people can't always rethink their choices when it comes to attraction, whether we wish they would or not. And if folks who want slash are looking at Elementary and NOT doing what fandoms usually do, which is almost always "Find literally any excuse not to ship a slash pairing with a black guy in it," (ShawnGus being the first of many examples that comes to mind), then I have a hard time discouraging them from shipping as they ship, and I have a hard time finding a problem with it?
tl;dr: I am multishipping the shit out of everybody up in this brownstone/police station/crime scene/city, but I don't feel like any way people go here is wrong. (Except Sherlock/Gregson, because no, and Joan/Liam, because for real, fuck that underserving asshole so much.)

And yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah side-eyeing anyone who thinks Joan/Liam is a viable ship, ugh, no, let that unhealthy clusterfuck sit forever on the ocean floor.
