Steve's thought process: Grace in danger Danny airport oh fuck Danny's LEAVING Danny's LEAVING HAWAII and I am STUCK IN A JUNGLE TIED TO A TREE oh shit oh fuck can I call the governor on this phone and CANCEL EVERY PLANE LEAVING THE ISLAND--
Danny's thought process:
DEATH TO STAN.
And then this part:
Goddd Scott Caan, could you please PLEASE stop making me fall in love with you? IT HURTS. IT HURTS HOW GOOD YOU ARE IN THIS SCENE. Your hands, your voice, your body language. The fact that when everything about you says, "Don't make me kill you," you mean it.
This look right here? Says you know every detail of what could and will happen to you after they find you standing over this guy's mutilated corpse. And you don't care. I got the shivers so bad watching this. Literally holding my breath kind of shivers. And later when Danny says, "Hey, I didn't actually punch anyone today," I had to think back and go, Omg that's true, because every word in this scene felt like a sucker punch. DANNYYYYY.
But guys guys guys, can someone please explain this part to me?
They find the near-abandoned Hawaiian barn, okay, whatevs, but dudes with guns are CLOSING IN ON THEM, and CHIN TAKES OFF HIS VEST--
--KILLS A BAD GUY WITH A SHOVEL--
--and then PRESTO, THE VEST IS BACK ON. Is he protecting the bike handlebars? Maybe the vest would get in the way of his shovel swinging skills? Am I thinking too hard about this? Yes, obviously, but I would like to hear your thoughts.
AND THEN THIS PART:
Kono, you are a Bad Ass Mother Fucker.
