“It’s me, is your wife home?  No reason, I was just wondering what sort of conversation I could get away with - so it won’t have to be strictly business, hm?  Oh, no, please, I insist, I had better let you go for now.  See you in the morning, I love you.”
So, she’s running errands, is she?  Kyrie giggled to herself, gripping the knife in her right hand.  I never like to do things last minute, there’s not even enough time to ask a favour of the family, it could be risky like this.  “Ah, but I’ll make an exception for you…”  And with that, she left the house, never looking back or doubting herself for a moment.

Exiting the guesthouse, Kyrie looked up at the sky, or what could be seen of it in such a storm, anyway.  In her right hand she held a kitchen knife, which was now left clean from the rain.  Did you think you could escape me forever?  Who would have thought we would be trapped on a private island together in a typhoon!  Staying safe for eighteen years is impressive, for such a stupid woman!  “Now where could you have gone off to…ah, that’s right, meeting Rudolf.  Shall I let you say your goodbyes first?  Do you see how much mercy I’m showing?” She raised her voice, throwing her arms out for emphasis, “You see, everyone?  You’re watching, right?  Rosa, Jessica, you two tell her how merciful I am!  No hard feelings, right?”

A pause.

“Now you do understand?  This is what happens if you get in our way, in Rudolf’s, or mine.  Make a note of it in the future, please don’t do it again~  This is Sumadera Kyrie you’re talking to, honestly, what did you expect?”  For at this point, she was nothing but Sumadera Kyrie, she had never truly been an Ushiromiya, nor did she care to be.  That name was only useful to her in being linked to Rudolf - and it was so much more convenient to be a Sumadera in this situation.
Or, that’s what she tried to tell herself, she wouldn’t want to admit this was a bit much, even for her.  Asumu was dead, wasn’t she?  She, Kyrie, had won years ago.  But the truth was, she could see no difference between the woman she hated and the small reminder she left behind.  Whether her thoughts were clouded by excitement and greed, or by the weather, or even that she had secretly, even to herself, always felt this way, she didn’t know.  She didn’t much care.

As she rearranged the items she was carrying to better advantage, deciding to throw away her umbrella as it had absolutely no use in such a heavy downpour, Kyrie couldn’t convince her own jealous mind that all was right.  As long as he was around, Asumu would live on.  Her husband would never love her as much as she loved him.  She knew this would be the best opportunity, this was what she wanted all along despite chalking it up to simply being a good strategy - which it certainly was.  Perhaps things would be different if she had been told, if she had known the truth.  It wouldn’t be a shock to her and she would have welcomed it, but as it was, she would never know, and so she saw only Asumu.

Following the path to the chapel, she eventually came across the boy she was looking for and gave him her usual smile, not trying to hide the tools in her hands or pockets at all.  “Sorry to call you out here like this, Battler.”

Sample journal entry:
[a video feed of a woman starts, she doesn’t seem to be upset, but nor is she smiling]

So, another day, another strange place, is it? If someone thinks this is shocking and disturbing, they’re wrong. ‘Magic’ is hardly surprising anymore, I’m sure there are more than a few who would agree.
I’m sure there’s an explanation, so don’t think I’ll be fooled.

[she smiles]

Ah, I’m sorry, there’s no need to dive right in like that. Being so serious isn’t appealing [giggle].
Nice to meet you all, I’m sure. Don’t hesitate to ask anything of me, and please do share whatever you may know. I just can’t rest for a second~
