because once he pays for my plane ticket, that amount has to be subtracted from the $400.00 because that was the deal - so if he is paying for me $165.00 plane ticket, it means that that amount is deducted off of the $400 that he originally owed me...does that make sense? I came up with $285.00 that he still owes me.
you said he didn't pay for the plane ticket and you paid the total 330.. no money should be deducted if he didn't pay anything..

because it sounded like Erik was paying for you and his plane tickets but that was only the case to reduce his debt to you but you had to pay for it all anyways.. so why wuold he buy you a ticket when he is in debt to you and he owes you money anyways.. ya know..
