Ok, seriously, did one of you come into my shop today? DID YOU? I had this girl (lady? 20s? I'm bad with ages) come up to the counter with her mother/grandma, and they were sussing out the copy of GK I have enthroned next to the register. They asked if it was the only one I had and I got ALL EXCITED, like yes, but I have ordered MORE and do you watch the show? (girl - yeah) HOW GOOD IS IT??? You should TOTALLY read the book! And blah blah, and she kept giving me this little smile and I was thinking...do I know her on the INTERNET? She was actually pretty hot, too, so if it was you FESS UP. We'll talk ;) (KIDDING, KIDDING) I approve of totally hot girls coming into my shop and liking Generation Kill. Needs to happen more often.
IN OTHER NEWS. I think I've found my Achilles anus in this fandom - I can no longer make myself read fics in which Ray doesn't have a fairly sizable part. I just CAN'T. I read Brad/Nate, but if Ray is ignored I start FRETTING and I just don't enjoy it as much. :( :( I have figured out that the way to get my Nate fix (and I NEED my Nate fix!) is to read Ray/Nate ALL OF THE TIME. And then THAT made me realise that my OTP is Ray/ANYONE. Ray/Brad especially, but Ray/Walt, Ray/Nate, Ray/me...whoever. I'll read Ray/HIMSELF. In fact, that is an AWESOME IDEA.
I'm sure I'll get over this. I went through something similar when I started out with GK and I managed to work through it. There are a LOT of really, really good Brad/Nate fics around, I just need to take a deep, breath, imagine Ray is off somewhere happily screwing Walt, and let myself love them.

ALSO. I started another Brad/Ray/Walt threesome in the kink meme. If I finish it (someone tell me to stop fucking around on LJ and finish it!) it will be the THIRD B/R/W threesome I've written, which is just getting pathetic. I have a problem, ok? I'm Beck and I'm an addict. SIGH. It's just REALLY HOT.
And finally, I think it's time to retire my LynZ header and get a GK one. I'll be sad, because I LOVE that picture (I mean, I TOOK it, so I'm pretty attached) but it's time to fully embrace the GK obsession and move with the times. If anyone were to make me one I would do ANYTHING THEY WANTED. ANYTHING. (not that) (probably).
