“Not drinking?” Brad asks with a raised eyebrow.
“Not tonight.”
“You haven’t turned into a pussy civilian fuck, have you?” “Not quite.” Nate smiles with his teeth before crowding Brad’s space. He watches Brad dip head his head and then Brad’s lips are against his own, tongue sliding past Nate’s lips. He hasn’t done this since he’s changed, but it’s better than he remembers. “I’ve had so many dreams about your fucking mouth.” Brad mumbles against his skin, before sucking insistently at Nate’s bottom lip. Panic shoots through Nate, forcing him to pull away. He takes one large step backwards, turning his face from the light.
“Nate… what is it?”
Nate knows this is it, that Brad will see what he is, see his fangs distended- sharp and white - and be repulsed. He swallows out of human habit and shifts his gaze for Brad’s appraisal.
Brad doesn’t shriek or gasp, just stares at Nate’s mouth in wonderment.
“Can I?” He asks steadily, fingers already moving toward him.
Nate nods, forcing himself still, a thrill running through his body when Brad strokes his fingertips down one of his fangs.
Brad whistles low. “Sharp.”
“Very.” Nate confirms.
As Brad steps back, Nate can see a trickle of blood staining Brad’s bottom lip where he must have inadvertently nicked him.
“Don’t move.”
Nate leans in to lap at the bead of crimson and immediately clot the wound. He licks his lips to savor the spicy sweet thickness, tongue heavy with want.
He inwardly curses himself for not having the foresight to know Brad would be delectable. Nate starts out of Brad’s space but is stopped with one of Brad’s hands.
“I’m not afraid.” Brad says smiling.
“You should be.” Nate says wryly. “You sure you want this?”
