Do you love it? That's hot! STABSTABSTAB

Jan 02, 2008 17:11

So yesterday there was a Simple Life marathon on TV and it was 40 degrees so there was NOTHING TO DO but sit around and watch it for five hours in wide-eyed wonder. I think part of my brain actually turned to mush. If I hear anyone, ever, say "Do you love it?" or "That's hot!" again in my life I will actually start crying.

Two things on the agenda today! First, I have found the epitome of Frank-hotness. I swear, no one has ever taken a picture of him that looks hotter, or more Frank-like, than he does in this one.

There are a number of amusing things about this picture - Gerard's white, twisty face, Mikey's random zippers, Ray being distracted by something (possibly a plate of cupcakes) off camera, Bob's look of combined fatigue and rage - but the only thing I've spent any time studying is Frank's fucking filthy punk sex face. Anyone who says that don't want to have sex with that man is a LYAR with possible mental issues. LOOK AT HIM. He's going to bend you over and say really dirty things and SMIRK A LOT. ;LKSJDFHDBFSDJUGRDHFSBD!!!!

The clear winners of the year were Tanith Lee and Stephen King, with 8 and 5 books respectively. I'd never even heard of Tanith before this year, but she's quickly turned into my favourite writer ever. The one C I gave her, for White as Snow, wasn't because the books was bad, but because it didn't grab my attention by the balls for the entire thing and keep me rivited, like all her others. And it was very cold. But the rest were absoluetly magnificent, you've all gotten sick of me raving about The Silver Metal lover, of course, but I don't think I mentioned the Piratica trilogy or Biting the Sun, which were all As. Stephen King doesn't have a bad book, obviously. And he got the first A+ of the year for Lisey's Story.

The biggest loser was fucking Laurell K. Hamilton. So much hate. Nothing above a C+. But I guess she's also a winner, in that I keep buying her stupid, badly written books. Oh, and at least she didn't get a D. The only book to do that was Tracy Quan's useless piece of junk. Guys - don't read it.

I tried to read mostly new books, but occasionally I picked up one I'd already read - those are indicated  with stars. And I actually read SML three times this year, but only counted it once, so rereads within the year aren't in there.

Also not counted - approx four or five novels worth of fanfiction (heh) and maybe five graphic novels. Also, things like The Supernatural Season One Guide weren't included. Oh, and if I didn't finish a book I didn't add it. I've been about 150 pages away from the end of Stephen King's It for five months, but I just can't make myself read them. SIGH. Stupid clowns.

Anyway! That's what I read this year.

Just got home from watching Enchanted. I need a very violent action film to cleanse my palate of all the suger, geez :D

Ok! I have some fanfiction to catch up on and stuff. Hope you all hade a good New Year's!

--Cheers, Beck.
