(no subject)
yeh time wasting on lj, a good enough reason to escape essay hell for a while!! accompanied cheryl to open mic night last night and had a really good time, was nice to hang out letting dudes entertain me whether that was by funky greek tunes, jiggy guitar intrumentals or crazy political ramblings was all good! Cheryl was wicked, a few nerves at first and the lack of decent stage equipment (she couldnt hear herself) made her fumble a bit but once she got over the initial jitters and got into the swing of things, she impressed me loads. Her voice sounded really sweet amplified, i've never heard it like that before. Was a shame there was a two song limit tho cuz would have been cool to see cheryl and mark perform together. Accidently got quite drunk tho, was so hot in there that i hit the nice cold stella, forgetting how drunk that shit manages to get me! was overall a fun night, enjoyed myself lots and was good to get to know mark a bit more, hopefully soon he will get over his shyness and be a conversationalist when im about (although admittedly i speak enough for everyone!).
Hitting the essays hard today, suddenly its monday which gives me 3 days to complete 2 essays, shitting myself about not getting them done to a high enough standard. Had whole idea about doing work in advance this year and am already failing this resolution, but think i may be learning my lesson enough to start earlier on my next batch!
Cant wait to get work out of the way now so that i can freely go out and get battered and enjoy my hangover the next day rather than having to rise early and battle through it with guilt! Gona engross myself in some jazz with dave on thursday, which should be cool. and then friday is the party for cheryls birthday which im looking forward to loads!
anyway better crack on with boring research and stuff, happy halloween to all!!
