Hottest 100
OK so I finally voted today. Triple J were nice enough to extend the voting till midnight on Sunday, as opposed the original deadline of yesterday (friday) 5pm.

The Triple J's Hottest 100 (for those overseas friends who've not heard of it) is the biggest listener poll of its kind in the world. From a list of about a 1000 or so songs, listeners get to vote for their favourite 10 tracks released in the last year. Then, on Australia Day (26th Jan), they count down the songs voted from 100 to 1 over the whole day. Starting from 10am and going through till about 6/7ish at night. Good times. Its traditional for my friends and I to have a BBQ and there is no difference this year.
But this year I have done a dispicable thing. I have voted twice using 2 diff email addys. I just couldn't cull my top 20 any more. They were all songs I loved last year.

In other news - I got my wisdom tooth pulled out today as well as getting a filling - all in the same sitting!! The filling was unexpected, but I went in to get the tooth out. Its not very nice at all. I had a panic attack. I've only ever had one other one in my life and that was when I was nearly side swiped/squished against the wall by a huge truck when driving thru the Burnley tunnel with Ali and our friend Jo in the car. Not a fun experience.
Anyway, mum was there to hold my hand and calm me down. She was telling me to breathe and it was very soothing. Normally mum isn't allowed into the dental surgery with me (she's a dental nurse) cos she picks on me, but today I needed my mummy there for support. I can't stand not being able to breathe and it freaked me out, hence the panic attack. Anyway its a bit sore now, but generally its not too bad at the moment. I'm expecting to be in more pain a bit later.
Right now though its as hot as a slut here and its giving me a headache. Gonna be 41 degrees celcius tomoz (about 106 for those in Farenheit). I've got the day off so depending on toothy and pain, I might head to the beach with Jason and gang. See how I am.
