(no subject)
So I read on Graham's journal how a friend had taken him to the airport in order to get a bit of perspective. I can see how that would help. Watching planes taking off and landing, people coming and going, leaving friends and family, coming back to them again. For business, for pleasure. The world still turns, day by day. Observation. Wish I had time to do that now, but there is no time at all. At least I can look forward to sitting in airports next year I guess. Perspective, yes.
I got the new Bernard Fanning album yesterday and haven't stopped playing until now. I dug out an old Powederfinger cd - their second CD and one of my all time faves - its what got me into them all those years ago. Its like a forgotten treasure that has surfaced again - I forgot how good this album is.
Right now I am weighed down with a million (well 3) assignments. Two I want finished tonight to hand in tomoz so I don't have to go in on my day off on Friday to hand them in. Looks like I'll be online for a while tonight so if anyone is about, drop me a line to say hi and to keep me sane. Only one week left of school and then its work work work until xmas.
Lucky me though, I twisted Kate's arm (well not really cos as well as being my boss she's a mate as well) and I managed to get all of next week off on paid annual leave. Hhaha on one week's notice - supposed to give 4 weeks LOL. At least I have that to look forward to before the xmas retail madness kicks in and I start singing xmas carols ARGH!!! I start a new contract when I get back - 27 hours per week and I am allowed to pick up extra if I want. I will be trying to work as much as possible and save as much as possible over this period as I can. Might have a chat to Kate tomoz and see if I can convince her to roster me on all day on Boxing Day (double time and a half ;o) hehe). We'll see.
Started looking for flights. I'm a bit excited. I have the money for the ticket now. But I want to hold off till I get my UK passport. Then its just finding the right price, paying for it then booking!!! :oD.
