So, I’m super excited. I went super fast shopping this afternoon and got a bunch of stuff Iv wanted for a while. First off, Season 1 of One Tree hill was $19 at Target, and while I normally wouldn’t have gotten it, I never got to see most of season one, so with it being on sale $25 less than normal, I figured, why not? So I got that, and I also got the whole compilation of the Chronicles of Narnia. I chose The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe for my lit. circle book in one of my readings, and since I wanted to read all of the “chronicles” anyway, I bought the massive book, since I figured Id save some money in the long run.
Both of those are fun and exciting, but the ones I’m psyched about are the “Wicked” soundtrack I finally bought. Ok, seriously…these songs are so incredibly powerful. I’d kill to see that musical…I’m kicking myself for not finding a way to get tickets and someone to see it with me on its tour. So, I bought that soundtrack and I bought the book the musical was based off of. The author (Gregory Maguire) apparently writes stories that tell the other side of the stories that we all know. There is one on Snow White, Cinderella, etc. Wicked is the “Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.” Basic synopsis is that Glinda and Elphaba (Wicked witch of the west) were roommates in school and best friends etc. go to www.wickedthemusical.com to hear some songs from the musical and read the synopsis and stuff. It’s the same synopsis as the book obviously. It looks really good. Im starting it tonight.
So in non-book news, in geology this week, we made “Recycled Monsters” out of random trash we all brought in. My group made “Jeffery the Giraffe” I’ll see if I can post the picture we took:

Tonight, Laura and I are going to see “Quilters” at the Lamplight theatre. I don’t really know much about it other than it’s a musical with flashbacks. I just really want to get involved in the theatre here, but they don’t really have auditions. The director just knows what certain people can do and casts them, so a lady at church thats in the play told me shed introduce me. I also emailed the director and asked for information, so we’ll see what happens.
School is finally calming down some. I say that, but if you had talked to be Tuesday night, Im sure I would have said differently. But for now, all is good.:)
Next weekend Im going with Laura to see her mom in Houston, so that should be fun. We’re going to go shopping and such. Im going to go watch One Tree Hill for a while though
Peace out!
