Endlessly amusing: My Oma just added me on Facebook. Oh, Oma, how are you so awesome and hilarious?
Endlessly awesome: I got a package from
inveighed today! I was expecting it to be socks, but it was this giant, really light box, and it turns out that she sent me all the yarn she didn't want to move with her. YARNS! In colours that I love, no less, so bonus points to her for that. And since yarn is delightfully squishy, it all fit into my ARTZ AND CRAFTS!!! box.
New, and not exciting, developments: I'm moving in a month and a half? (This is not new, actually; it's been in the works since late June? I just haven't mentioned it.) And the work position that was "absolutely, 100% available" for me is now 100% unavailable, and the district supervisor who should be finding a spot for me is on vacation until early September, and this is a bit of a wrench in the plans, yanno? Not that working at the Mermaid is what I want to do forever, but it'd be nice to have a job to go to so I can pay rent and student loans and stuff. It's troublesome.
On the other hand: Hamilton's decently close to Toronto and St. Catharines and Niagara on the Lake, and also has a pretty decent theatre program set up, given that it's a steel town; perhaps I'll be able to find some theatre/tech work and, like, get to do it for real? Who knows?
Definitely a plus: No woodland creatures have invaded my bedroom the past two nights! (knock on wood)
