The end is in sight

Just two days until we get the keys and I'm getting pretty excited.

The weekend mostly consisted of packing which didn't take as long as expected. Although finding one of the cats in nearly every single box or bag as you're going along doesn't help much. But it is very cute and at least they're happy for now.

We have a marvellous fridge/freezer from a uni friend of mine who offered it free in exchange for us taking it away. It's currently standing in the living room along with the tumble drier which has been rescued from the shed. We'll get a washing machine after we move.

It's kind of like the calm before the storm now - we haven't actually got any more space to pack in the current house until some stuff is moved over to the new one on Wednesday. No longer waiting for phone calls and letters or filling out forms on a daily basis is also somehow strange.

In between bouts of packing we spent a lovely evening on Saturday with shellbun , miss_squiddy and samoth enjoying amazing food and great company. It was also lovely to chat to custard_mite on the phone afterwards.

Life at the moment is somewhat surreal but ultimately happy. Which is never a bad place to be.
