So apologies for not doing a post for last week's ep; I very much enjoyed the episode (especially Len!!!), but Ginger die Wunderkatze gave me quite a scare. I had to take her to the vet and everything. She's doing much better now, which is all that matters to me :) So let's move on to this week, shall we?
(
Still reeling from that big revelation )
I'm thinking the Mark was more a reminder for God and a way to punish those he fit into Amara's label. Cain killed Abel, yes...but to save Abel from Lucifer, who was God's creation and problem to begin with. Look how many that were close to Him became the worst of the worst?!?!
In most religions (even Christianity at one time), God was a dual coin. Originally, the 'concept' of Amara was God's Consort, who saw what he was doing (and the strife it would cause amongst Heaven) and walked, leaving a warning on the problems it would cause. Eventually, the paternal religions wiped 'Her' from existence altogether, but the memory persists. God was neither bad nor good. His consort was neither bad nor good. They were the balance of each other. Then Lucifer became his balance.
I'm thinking the Mark is her original name. And to remind himself that sometimes good deeds do not go unpunished, he made Cain carry it and put a curse on it that would cause Cain to kill and do it well...maybe as an excuse that He did the right thing?
Here's to hoping they explain. And that Sam and Dean will catch onto the trap before the brother VS brother even starts!
