This is kind of just a kudos post to
evremondebecause... I was writing and reflecting and thinking about how much influence she had on me and my actual writing style. I mean, in no way do I think I'm anywhere near her level of writing, but I find that there are a lot of similarities.
I think this might be because back in my developing years, she was sooo my number one favorite author. I printed off her fanfiction so I could read it under my desk at school. I still strive to try and get close to her talent. She's just awesome. It's like you can put yourself right there in the scene, and the image is as clear as if you were watching a movie instead of reading a book, except you can feel what the characters are feeling. I mean, when she writes about music coming from someone's instrument of choice, you can hear it. How does she -do- that?
I really want to be able to do that when I write. I want to use big words to describe stuff, and not have a repetitive vocabulary. I want to crank out thousands of beautiful words in (what I feel is) a short time.
So, I would definitely say that she's someone I want to model myself after.
I really hope I'll be that talented someday.
