Sincecinderlily made a list and we're going to celebrate the wins and commiserate the fails, I am posting a 101 things in 1001 days.

If you're not familiar with the concept, you write a list of 101 goals.  They need to be measurable and a bit of a challange.  Taking January 1, 2009 as the starting point, the 1001 days ends on September 29, 2011. This is ( Read more... )

You have never had a Starbucks? Wow. That is actually pretty awesome. I also like your 1 year from now reevaluating... I might let myself delete the impossbile and sub our 5 next year.

Either way, AWESOME. SO IN!

*Shh* Top Secret confession here- I'm reevaluating in a year because I seriously couldn't think of any more for the list. ;)

I've never had a Starbucks. I've been to some other coffeehouses and chains (Tim Hortons when I was in Canada, Costa when I was in England, random indie coffee shops at college) but never ordered from a Starbucks (Frappucinno bought other places does not count). There are probably space aliens who've had more Starbucks than me :)

My goal is to get through more than half. And to get through some of the harder ones, not just the easy stuff I put on there to be sure I would finish *something*.

give graphic novels a try-Watchmen is supposed to be good

Yeah, The Watchmen is fabulous! Also consider:

See, I'm not sure how I feel about consolidating the loans. I think that's probably the better option if you're planning on keeping the loans for the full ten years or maybe longer. I don't really want the high interest rate to hit my low interest rate loans. At the moment, I can afford all the separate payments, so I was just leaving it alone for now and paying. I've got a bit of money in the bank, enough that I might be close to paying off the one-- if I totally drained my account. Which I can't do because it would leave me with no emergency fund, and that makes me too anxious.

I've heard really good things about Watchmen (enough to be a little scared that the movie will mess it up) I am 100% sure it's one of my 'secret' birthday presents. :) I'll have to give your recs a try. As soon as my internet connection is feeling a little more stable (spazzed out on me twice already this week!)

Everybody's been making these lists, and I say, "Should I? Should I not? Yes, but no." It's just not something I feel like I could do. But I will be here to support YOUR goals, because they're great! Adopting a pet? YES. Write more fanfic? YES. Donate blood? Know birthdays? see women’s doctor (drag myself kicking and screaming) YES, YES, and YES (although it makes me termble in fear).

Go forth!

You should make the list. I talked my sister into it (then had to hope she didn't wonder where I got the idea, since I try to keep my LJ and RL separate!) It's really not as bad as you think. Writing the list is the hardest part. You put a good mix of hopeful, entirely do-able, and crap you were planning to do anyway.

It's cool to see how well you do. And, also, you have nearly three years-- it's kind of cool to see what happened, what didn't, and how your goals have changed. I made a list a few years ago I never posted-- I think I acheived 40-- and it's so weird to see some of the stuff I expected/intended to do.

I love animals and I'd love to rescue one, but since I don't even have my own place, I shouldn't just bring home an animal. Donating blood is something I don't mind doing, I don't love or hate it, and it's really pretty inconvenient where I live, but I need to make more of an effort. And all the doctors... that's something I do know I need to be better at, but I just hate it so much!!!
