it was all jun's fault. he bothered me so much with his "i'm your number one fan!" statement that i just could not let this pair go. it was sort of expected that they would be my otp--i usually go for the ones that have this sort of tension between them. given that arashi isn't the group with all the ~tension~, shojun is totally where all the tension is at (with all that nonexistent interaction circa 2005?). lol. it's not even about the tension; it's about how these two have so much respect for each other. they understand each other in such an amazing way; they compliment each other's shortcomings and all that jazz. but more importantly, they are just good friends. they like to send each other cute birthday greetings and spend time talking about books. really, a pair after my own heart ♥

continuing the angstfest that is my otp choices, we have jin and kame: estranged soulmates. oh i see you guys rolling your eyes and i understand. sometimes jin/kame fans can be batshit insane, and insanely creepy but you have to understand. a pair that was all chummy one moment and then indifferent the next, wouldn't you want an explanation too? the transition was just too soon for some, which is why people insist that jin/kame exists. sharing my stand in all of this will result to a full blown essay, so i will just say this one little thing: i think these two will forever be special to each other. take that any way you want.

apart from angsty sobfests, i also happen to like bestfriends cute. beyond cute. i think a relationship rooted in friendship is always strong and sweet; that would explain this otp choice. shipping an actual bestfriend pair is rare for me though, because as much as i love bestfriends, it takes more than cute to make me start donning my shipping hat. i know kwon adores ga in (like hopelessly) but he is so bffs with seulong that urghh so hard to ignore. they are obviously close, and they call each other when they're bored (and they hang up when they're not lol) and twitter conversations that i can barely understand? totally shipping material.

this is probably my otp OF ALL TIME. i just can't seem to outgrow these two. i have been shipping them for what seems like forever (and rl friends can back you up on that) but every time i come back to them, i never get tired of seeing what i've seen, and breaking my heart every single time is a must (kishimoto, i allow you to do this to me). these two have a very twisted bestfriend complex, but i am not complaining. i adore the angst, i love all their i-have-your-back moments, not to mention their brutal i-really-care-about-you threats. and i don't even keep up with shippuden so i don't know if naruto's still chasing after sasuke, but i hope he is. i hope he doesn't stop until he actually does grab sasuke back for a good long talk to FINALLY settle all this drama. i'm rooting for you, naruto. no matter how long it takes ♥

just so you know, i have nothing against haruhi. or bisco hattori. but kyouya and tamaki just have this amazing chemistry together. tamaki saw through kyouya from their first meeting alone, and he knew just how to get through to him. i don't know, a kyouya without a tamaki in his life would be the same conniving, selfish, cunning person he is. but a kyouya with a tamaki, would be all of that, but without all the pretense shit! it's otp! kidding aside, i really do think they affect each other in ways no one else could've done. without them, the whole series would be plotless. and so this small, super adorable, friendship always ranks high in my otp lists.

you guys need to be warned that majority of this post will be reborn pairs, because amano-sensei--she knows how to make people ship things. i started out with this pair because they were actually the first one i started shipping in the series (pairing tsuna with guys seemed kinda wrong for me so :|). i actually donned my shipping hat waaaay back when lambo got "lost" and tsuna was suspecting everyone for his disappearance. of course gokudera claims he was with yamamoto. they ate. gokudera got sick. yamamocchan nursed him back to health. i. i don't know, this just spelled out instant OTP for me. lol. after that, they proved that even though they hate each other's guts (well, mostly on gokudera's part), they work well together. and they even manage to find an arrangement that is somewhat friends, only with a lot of bickering. ♥
dino cavallione ☆ hibari kyouya
it's so hard not to fall in love with dino. i mean really ♥ tbh, i went all OMG WHAT A LOSER when he first appeared, but he was just too much to actually dislike. i think part of hibari knows this as well. even with his superior, indifferent attitude, he still acknowledged dino in his own way. they may not rely on each other as much as other pairs do, but they do test each other's limits. dino finds hibari endearing obviously, and i love it when fanworks depict this relationship as dino coming on to hibari, and hibari finding himself falling for dino as it goes on. it just provides a really realistic background. plus i like seeing someone tame hibari YEAH I SAID IT
xanxus ☆ superbia squallo
THIS. these two definitely awakened a kink to me that i didn't know i have. that is really brutal, borderline violent interaction. i actually never planned to take this kink seriously, as it was seemingly all there is to their relationship. but then squallo reveals his angsty promise about following xanxus wherever he goes and MAN I AM SOLD. i adore squallo's devotion, his loyalty and just about everything he feels for xanxus. i like how xanxus appears to treat these all as mere trivialities, but i hope that he knows what those things actually mean. and i think he does. he gives squallo more importance than he actually shows, and i prefer it that way ♥

another bff pair ♥ for some reason, after ALL that time tsuna spent with spanner, it is so wrong trying to ship them :| but whatever, i loved spanner the moment i saw him and when the manga kept leaving out hints that he cares about what shouichi will think of the help he offered tsuna, that had my eyes all sparkly and shippy. honestly, it is very very very hard to find people who actually support this ship. but i don't know why more people won't jump on this! the back-rubbing where spanner goes "sorry shouichi gets sick when he's pressured" (or something idk i forgot)! their total bff-ery! i immediately left my 10051 ship for this, because byakuran gives me the creeps :| spanner, i'll choose you any day bb ♥

i managed to narrow down my hetalia ships (because there are a lot, honestly) and this was one of the pairs that made the cut. i chose this one because truly, the us/uk relationship has that dynamic which ALWAYS makes me ship any pair. that is: being close to each other, going through some tough time, being estranged/indifferent, awkward times (because same pattern applies to sho/jun and jin/kame) ♥ i like pairs with angsty pasts okay. and if anyone in hetalia has an angsty past, these two will def be included. i basically like this ship because uk still has this weird hangover for us, and us has totally ~moved on~ and yeah they're just cute. i love it when they yell at each other and fight for stupid reasons ♥

i hope you're seeing the pattern for my ships now lol. again, with the once close relationship being lost and stuff: we have china and japan! japan did some very awful things to china (i now understand why my chinese father loathes japan so much) and in hetalia, though that may not be highlighted, it is seen that there is some tension between them. like how japan isn't as close to china as before. and this one is a lot angstier than all the other pairs mentioned (really, very hard to come by happy fanworks of this before), but it would be nice to see them making up and getting back to that brotherly relationship like before. both in hetalia, and in real life ♥

this pair was actually introduced to me by a friend after i had this craving for two seme-like characters actually getting together (because i am getting tired of girly ukes ok :|) and said friend did not disappoint. i still have a hard time picking out the dominant one, but i figured, who the hell cares, i just like them together. they also have this violent relationship, but with more tension and less niceties. that just adds to their appeal though. i also discovered the other day that i had doujins about these two BEFORE i even heard of drrr! i think i found the art cute and just downloaded tons of doujins. either way: more doujins. yay ♥
