Doe a deer (make that two, no three deer actually)
I've decamped over the border into Norfolk for the weekend and even before I had put my bag down I spotted a deer at the edge of the garden. I've heard the muntjac barking around in the woods here a lot and even met Mrs Muntjack on the water works.
Just after I'd hurried to get my camera Mr Muntjac arrived
He has lovely little curling horns and scent glands near his eyes
With the arrival of the second deer there was a third trailing after them. I wasn't sure if this was last year's youngster or another interested male but he's not got big antlers, only buds. The bigger male had a go at head butting him and chasing him off.
