Safely back from the North of England

And here's proof that it was dangerous in them there borders when the Rievers were out and about.

This one is a pele tower on the main road in the village where I grew up:






St Mary's Church where little Quarryquest got baptised nearly half a century ago and part of which is very old as it has a Normal doorway.

This is Ponteland Castle, now the local Blackbird Inn viewed from the path running past the church. There is a traditional story about a tunnel running from the pub to the church (and that it is haunted by the Errington who lived at the castle) but that is of course a tradition and has no basis in fact.
