THIS JUST IN:
George Mason's Public Policy program admitted me today. They are pretty well ranked, and located in the D.C. area, leaving me in excellent striking position to serve on President Obama's homeland security committee. Just as importantly, Mandy was accepted to their choral conducting program with much fanfare. In fact, they accepted her on the spot last August during what was supposed to be an informational interview. Was that a sign? No, because there is no such thing as a sign. But I have to say, it is pretty funny nonetheless.
So, am I going to George Mason? No guarantees. But it is a mighty tempting choice, even though I was increasingly thinking political science, not public policy, was right for me. But I have the feeling I can make whatever field I am in bend to the will of homeland security.
Still waiting to see if Kansas or Arizona accepts Mandy, though. Then, we can have TWO or THREE happy super-deluxe romance goodwill choices!
