Nika looked at the stain glass image of the first great mother Rosilendoni Mador. “Mother, give me strength. What where you thinking when you formed this school?” With that she turned back to the main entrance to the hallway and exited. As the doors opened a gust of fresh sea air washed over her. The mist tingling her skin and the sun warming her. She looked over the Tower of seven domes. The mothers’ audience chamber was in the utmost part of the tower. Normally you could use one of the teleportation disks to transport up and down from here or chose to walk down the 12 stories of stairs. Today she would do as she often did on these beautiful days and walk the stairs.

As she walked the alabaster walkway down she could see the teleportation disk built into the floor. It was an eight pointed star. You could use it merely by stepping onto the disk and using your feet to tap how many levels you wanted to go up or down and then a direction which you wanted to travel. Nika had always wondered about the crafters. They were suppose to be a separate race about half the height of normal humans. They had carapace like skin and elongated limbs along with insect like wings. They were said to not have any eyes or be able to work magic themselves. However all the magical artifacts in existence all though out Aleria had been built by the crafters. Nika had always had an interest in lost things and in forgotten questions. As she looked over the vast grounds of the Tower of Seven Domes she could see sisters and workers bustling from here to there. Gardens being tended grapes being fermented and picked for wines the sisterhood made and sold to noble houses. She looked off to the south and in the distance could see the other great school still in existence the Tower of Three Gates. It was the school of the Fath Da’ Heans and also constructed by the crafters. Vail had attended there to learn to work with his soothsaying abilities. The brothers of fate where seen with more fear then the sisters do to there death watchers, those who were said to be so gifted in divining the future that they knew the death of all people. Nika had to chuckle at that. Superstition really did rule the current pyridine of society. It was fascinating though to think that both structures so innately magical but the current occupants had no idea how they came to be.

As Nika came closer to the ground she looked over to the garden of the node of truth. The node appeared as a pool of water with a water funnel in the middle. It always gave of a multitude of rainbows in all directions that superimposed themselves on the six white marble arches that enrobed the inner sanctum of the garden. She could see a young man with light blond almost brown hair walking around the fount. She embraced the node again feeling the power flow through her like a cold rush of water. Using the art this close to its source was almost mind blowing. She listened to the thoughts of the young man below her. “I wonder why I fell so alone here, this seems right but everything seems so colorless.” “I wonder if my sister is finding anything better.” As Nika finished her walk down the final stairs a change came over her. She shrank in size and her hair turned a flaxen blond her eyes changing to blue and taking on the appearance of a six year old boy. She walked the maze garden to the center and entered the inner sanctum of the node of truth where she could see Trust before her.

As Nika left the audience chamber a dark haired women stepped out from behind the throne. “So Joykla tell me truly what do you think of this one?” The Pail skinned dark haired women stood there. She was wearing a dark blue gown cut low to show ample cleavage and a tear shaped diamond nestled there in. Here Ice blue eyes were shaded in Kola. Her pupils where wedged shaped broad at the top and tapering at the base only to continue as natural black birthmarks in the shape of triangles that tapered off to a finish just above her lips. “She is dangerous, she was reading your mind you know.” She said with a slight grin “Impossible, I was scanning her the whole time. She never probed once into my mind.” “All that may be as you say but she knew your thoughts. She is one of the true gifted. She will outlive you ten times over she has the ability to not only use the node of truth but possibly to deny it’s use against her. Also I sensed a rouge talent something all her own, not having to do with a node of this world. I’m sure you have heard the myths of the Death Speakers. The sisters match to the Death Watchers of the Brotherhood I recommend you get rid of her as soon as possible.” “Thank you Joykla as always your insight is considered most useful. If I could get rid of her easily how ever I would have already done so by now.” “Onto why you are here however, how goes the work of your brothers and sisters anything new to report?.” “ Yes, Scicilean the advisor to your cousin Rufian in the senate of Toscali was present when they went to Isharea. A young Fath Da’ Hean by the name of Vail defeated the Skrinn with a javelin crew of five. The soul stone of the Skrinn is now in question but we should have access to it soon. Have you brought up the tapping of the node to the sisterhood yet?” “No, I have not I am the Great Mother and we will do as I abide. Let Scicilean know that when Ruffian is willing to meet my price and reinstate my brother as head of the Transportation Guild I will allow him to tap the node but not a minute before.” “As you wish mistress. I beg your leave.” “ you are released have my attendants come to me as you head out I’m feeling fait and need some food” “ as you say mistress.
