Needing a car to get a license seems very odd to me, especially considering that at the age at which most people get a license they don't own a car. On the bright side, it's much easier to renew than to get a new one.

It's not that I need a car, but if I HAVE a car from another state. If I bring a car with mr into Texas they want me to register it before they'll issue me a license! Since the car is in my name, my wife was able to get a Tejas LC without incident.

*blinks* How silly. Makes me glad I kept my Texas license while I was in the northeast, even if it did confuse the hell out of that one cop in Connecticut.
