iPod Touch/iPhone Dock

This week, as I was transferring some HDV video for a project, I noticed something interesting about the size and shape of the MiniDV tape cases. They turn out to be roughly the width of an Apple iPod Touch. This means that if you flip out the J-card tray you can set an iPod Touch or iPhone onto an empty case and you have a little stand:

I was so pleased by this discovery that I took out my pocket knife and cut into the plastic case to allow a 30pin iPod connector to slip into the J-card. I made two of them, and taped them to the top of my Quad Mac so I could charge both devices without any fuss. It honestly works better than any of the docks i've tried!
