The first Avengers fic I wrote

Because I'm apparently a very mean writer and I am habitually rough on the Odinsons. Because I'm mean. (There is some one-sided slashiness that I've been debating nixing, but it leads to a vital character point so I don't know.)
I also got this review on it recently, which is why I've been thinking about it again.

"I read this story 3 days ago. I can't say that I liked it, precisely. I came away horrified and sad and three days later it's still bothering me. I'm still thinking about it. Which means it's a pretty damn powerful piece of writing. Good work."
I'm happy it affected someone on such a visceral level, given how horrible the subject matter really is. That's definitely how I felt when I came up with the idea.
