During my drive to the park-and-ride this morning, NPR was interviewing a author with a recently published book. The book is Slackonomics (link to Amazon). I am not endorsing it; I haven't read it and probably won't. However, I thought the author's premise was amusing and wanted to share

Slackonomics eh? At first I though it was Freakonomics you were listing and I was going to go HELL YES because I love that book.

I don't know...I find that the lump sum generation identity can be pretty flawed. That is, unless it's involving childhood programming, in which case, I think the majority of our generation willingly unites under the banners of Fraggle Rock, Muppets, Captain Planet, TMNT, Rainbow Brite and the like. X3

Oh and totally not related to the post, and only sort of related to anything because I know that we both love IchiIshi and Isshiken (I believe we talked/met on the ishi_ichi comm or papa love comm...), I adore your Bleach icons. 8D

Nikita and Raica's family doujinshi are some of my absolute favorites! I was wondering the name of the doujinshi featured in your Isshin and Ryuuken snuggle icon. Is it included in the Family Wars dj? I know that the Ichigo x Uryuu parallel story is Family Wars, since they mention Isshin "staying where he is" and Ichigo and Uryuu end up in the same snuggle pose like Isshin and Ryuuken do in that snuggle icon. I was hoping to know the title to be able to search for a scan, be it raw or eitherwise so I could see the Papas' side of the story. :3

Freakonomics ... hm, that's one I haven't read, and I really should. (There are a lot of books on my should-read-but-never-have-time list.)

Also Smurfs. And Thundercats. And Voltron. XD There was a lot of childhood indoctrination. XD

We probably crossed paths in ishi_ichi or isshiken, although I haven't hung out there in almost a year. Bleach isn't fascinating me the way it used to. So sad. ;___;

Icons, though, those still make me very happy! XD Yes, the 'snuggles' icon is also from Family Wars. The Isshin/Ryuuken in it is burning hot. Since I'm feeling nice, have a download link. (Please don't redistribute that, since onthefloor scanned it for me and I really shouldn't be sharing her hard work without her permission. ^^;)

I really loved it. It is interesting and quirky, and made areas of economics or things tied somewhat to it fascinating to non-majors. XD My to read read list is really dreadfully long as well, but I always feel like I never have the time to sit down and properly read

Oh no, trust me, I shan't run. I can completely understand job whining. My occupational whines are made up of can't find the right job right now and it's frustrating me to no end. As frustrating as being in a bad one. XD

Oh and I'm sorry my user info isn't up for more info on myself and my interests. LJ decided to chop off a bunch of the info when it instated its new code limit a while back, and I had been meaning to go through, edit, and fix it up. I decided to clean it up via links from the info into Lj entries. I'm still in the process of trying to lay out all the profile links and entry images, etc. It's taking forever, but hopefully it'll be up soon and then people will be back to see my BL pr0n obsession, erm..."know me." :p
