it's crunch time, what with final papers and exams and whatnot.

you won't hear from me again for at least a week - but once this is all over, i have olivia and raed's wedding, and then i have to pack to go to the UK!

ok- one thing at a time.

i have a two-page assignment due this evening which needs to be peer-reviewed. it is an abstract, a summary and a reaction to an article from The Chronicle of Higher Education. i only need someone to read it over and give me some feedback - nothing major. shouldn't take too long, and you need not be a library student or librarian.

so, i decided to forget the homework worth 5% of my grade in favor of my paper worth 40% of my grade in another class. eh, it's late. not the end of the world.

i get to class tonight, and find out that my homework (emailed this morning) wasn't late! yesterday was a holiday, so it wasn't due until today.

i win!

if you have to bomb a test, it's best to do it on the same day your prof returns a test to you on which you earned a 100%. that's my theory. and i just did it tonight. even better, she returned two such tests ( Read more... )

how quickly one can get out of the habit of going to class. i suppose it's easier to get out of the habit if i no longer live on campus, am only taking one class, and it meets twice a week. last semester my class met once a week, so it was easy to remember. but now, it's monday and wednesday, and evening class rather than morning class.
