When Junno lets himself into Tatsuya’s apartment, his first thought is- a bed with messy sheets is very sexy.
But knowing Tatsuya, it’s probably been messy for days and so, to pass the time until Tatsuya gets home, Junno decides to make the bed.
Without wait, he gathers the sheets and flaps them in the air to make a smooth spread and it's then he has another thought- Tatsuya’s scent in his sheets is also sexy.
And as though inebriated, Junno buries his face in the sheets and without a second thought, he’s already in bed with his head buried in the pillow and the sheet pulled over him, totally wrapping himself in Tatsuya’s scent.
Junno also thinks that cuddling in Tatsuya bed and perfuming himself with Tatsuya’s scent is more calming than lavender and chamomile can ever be.
It’s then that Junno also has another thought and that is- being bathed in Tatsuya’s scent is very arousing.
The next thing Junno knows is the sensation of a sudden dip in the bed and warm air blowing against his cheek and as the motion slowly pulls him from sleep, eyes paired with fondness and full lips with unfettered happy kisses pull him awake like he’s the modern day sleeping beauty.
Another thought then hits Junno- his heart never belonged to him.
“If you’re going to sleep, at least take your clothes off”, Tatsuya slips into bed beside him, “And change the sheets”.
Junno shuffles on his side and pulls the extra sheet that's tucked around him and instead, places it around Tatsuya - all the way down to his toes then relaxes on the pillow and focuses on the pair of black pearly eyes watching him and out of nowhere he says, “I was right”.
“Right about what?” Tatsuya pulls the cover over his shoulder, his hand brushing over Junno’s.
Junno jumps at the temperature of Tatsuya's fingertips but almost immediately, he takes Tatsuya’s hands in his and rubs them betwixt his own. After all, it’s already mid-autumn so outside is more than just chilly. “To love you”, Junno says at last, “I was right to love you”, he completely answers.
Tatsuya smiles, inhales deeply and closes his eyes, taking in the comfortable scent of Junno in his bed and the warmth he gets with Junno waiting at home for him.
“Does that mean I was right too?” Tatsuya shuffles forward and he’s so close that even though he’s looking at Junno, it’s all a blur.
Junno chuckles this time, still keeping Tatsuya’s hands warm in his palms and blowing warm breath on them, “There’s never any wrong when it comes to me and you, Uepi”.
Tatsuya hums in response but Junno can still hear the light laughter in his voice as if mocking himself for thinking there could ever be a different answer.
And as Tatsuya buries his face in the pillow right against Junno’s nose, Junno also has another thought - in all the years they've lived and all the people they've met and things they've experienced, perhaps there was someone else who fell in love with Tatsuya first and so perhaps_
“Dinner?”
“Let’s decide later”.
And so,
With Tatsuya finally warm in his arms, the silence of the room and the tiredness of the day slowly lulls Junno back to sleep but not before he whispers a thought against Tatsuya’s forehead,
“Perhaps… I was just lucky”.
