When Morning Comes
The rain beats a silent rhythm outside. And inside, a warm and cosy dinner is being eaten. They’re both under the kotatsu - toes touching and playing together. They barely say a word, until;
“Wake me up when you’re leaving”, Junno says without taking his eyes off his bowl of pumpkin soup.
Tatsuya steals a spoonful from Junno’s plate and asks, “Why?”
“Just wake me up”.
The alarm goes off far too fast, Tatsuya finds. It’s still raining and so if it were up to him, he would spend the whole day in bed with the man he loves.
“Junno, I’m going now”, he bends low and whispers.
Junno makes a waking sound and whines a bit while putting his hands up and reaching out.
“What is it now?” Tatsuya asks, hovering over him.
Junno pulls him down, wraps his arms around him and captures Tatsuya’s lips in a kiss. When they pull apart, Tatsuya is rosé coloured. Junno licks his lips, smiles up at him and goes, “thanks for the meal”.
Heart beating rapidly, feeling a bit giddy and hating it all the more that he has to leave for work, Tatsuya grabs his jacket, steals a kiss and replies, “you’re not welcome”.
