It’s a strange winter.
Yesterday was cold but today it’s autumn temperature. It’s been raining all day too. Scattered showers wet the lawn and raindrops pitter and patter against the window. Junno stretches, trying to rid himself of sleep and laziness from his nap. And that’s when he notices the extra warmth behind him and a firm grip into the hem of his sweater. He smiles turning around, and he marvels at how his heart flutters like wings of a thousand butterflies on seeing Tatsuya snoring, fast asleep and holding onto Junno as if to saying, ‘you’re not going anywhere, Mister’.
Junno brushes his knuckles in a smooth sweep against Tatsuya’s face, then leans over, gently kisses him and says, “You snuck into my bed again”.
Tatsuya breathes in, reaches for another kiss and asks, “What do you want for Christmas?”
Junno smiles at his randomness - a grin wide and bright with crinkles near his eyes. He then pulls Tatsuya closer, tickles Tatsuya’s cheek with his lips, and in a sotto voce he replies, “I already have you”.
