Foppery and whim
So. Between not being allowed to use the new computer until I go back to college (because it doesn't have antivirus software), jury duty (spent three hours there until we were dismissed because none of the cases that day panned out), another visit to the DMV, and a general Not Feeling Good™ (messed-up appetite, messed-up sleep schedule, a cough that just won't go away, etc.), this week can just end already. Even though it won't just yet. :PPP
Though the DMV visit was pretty successful -- I passed the knowledge test! :DDDDDDDDDDDDDD Got every question right. The good news is that we were able to schedule my driving test before I go back to college. The bad news is that it's next Wednesday in freaking Bridgeport, the biggest city in the state, and a 40-minute drive away. I'll be taking my test in a place I'm completely unfamiliar with. Gah. DX
Another good thing about this week: I finally, finally, finally finished LoGH. And just.......whoa. I still need to gather my thoughts about the show and whatnot, but what I can say right now is that I was actually a bit underwhelmed by the series as a whole, mostly because I found myself pretty receptive of its major flaws, plus the last twelve or so episodes was just tying up loose ends, so it felt a little anticlimactic. But otherwise, I really liked the series -- it managed to get under my skin, and I really can't see myself forgetting about the characters anytime soon. (And the last episode.......;___________;)
Plus, I've been obsessed lately with The National's new song, "You Were a Kindness." (The link I just gave is the full-band version I prefer, though if you actually want to hear the words better, there's this version as well.) I really don't know why this wasn't included on the album, it really is good.
I have a meme to do, but it'll have to wait until the afternoon/evening. I'm just too worn out right now. =_=
