Well i finally dragged myself out to the stampede last tuesday night. I wandered through the huge fair area and then hunkered down in beside the Coca Cola stage to watch Rex Goudie. He's like the cool kid in high school who makes it big. He sang a lot of covers, but his biggest songs were the unique ones.
I also went again to the stampede last night with a friend to see Our Lady Peace. Turns out that Armchair Cynics was opening for them! Pretty cool! Though the sound was kind of bad and I know they sound waaay better than they did.
I was a little disappointed at not having a camera with optical zoom, so this is what my pics look like:
Rex Goudie at the Coca-Cola Stage. He's like the guy next store who made it big. He had a great time on stage... Jumpin' around, climbing on things, waving flags :) It was good times.
The security Guards got mad at him.
The next day, was Armchair Cynics and Our Lady Peace:
Can't you recognise them from the photo? Geez... It's the Cynics... see that little dot in the middle? that's the lead singer!
Sorry, it's fuzzy... but like I said... no optical zoom and was far away.... Raine went and climbed even further than Rex. He actuallly sat on top of the thing and didn't seem to get in trouble at all!!! silly fame and getting away with things...
For a majority of the concert there were about three girls blocking our view of the stage. Some people were getting pretty pissed off and started throwing things at her... Sigh... it was only a $12 concert... be nice.
And that's that. It was a good concert. I was tired after standing for like 4 hours (including waiting time), but it was worth it. For the most part.
I am going to the rodeo on sunday with my uncle. It should be good times. Watchin' cowboys abuse cows and horses and seeing them get paid for it! hehe.
