Thunderstorms and Little Rivers

Jan 25, 2011 21:15

Its storming outside in a big way. A big and awesome and totally relaxing way. I'm not usually a fan of reflective walks anymore, mostly because I don't have my little beach to end my walk at anymore, but in the rain it turns into a really peaceful experience. And plus my hair looks really wet and thoughtful when I'm done.

So I went job hunting today at the Mall of Melinia. I brushed the usual spots; Starbucks, Banana Republic, Express. And at the last moment when all hope seemed lost, who should show up but merry Jack Frost. Actually I spotted Lucky Jeans, and I swantered on in and hit it off quite well with the (female) workers which scored me an interview with the hiring manager not ten minutes after walking in! Remember kids, a little flirting does pay off, literally.

Anyways, the interview went well. I oozed my extensive knowledge of retail which in truth consists of 6 months hanging out with friends and folding chinos in a pretty decent way. But I think I sold myself well, I shall find out Thursday if I have the job. Heres hoping.

Life is good right now; single and enjoying it. Meeting new awesome people that I'm actually getting along with really well. And my birthday is coming up, which is kinda cool. The ol 21. I'm going to miss being 20 though. Mainly because it has a nice ring to it, the year of 20 and its memories and can take a trip out to sea, but the sound of '20' will never again be in my title. So thats kind of sad.

I miss you though. You know who you are. Maybe we could be together again in another life, where we are both cats.

Goodnight.
