i get that maybe you can't afford to take your trembling offspring for swimming lessons at the Y or something what with finances being what they are lately, but let's take a moment here and ask ourselves: what is the purpose of a swimming pool? that's right - to cool off and have fun. and here's a BIG fucking hint: when your child is screaming at the top of their lungs, wailing with terror and pleading to be taken out of the pool? THEY ARE NOT HAVING FUN. and i guarantee you that neither are we, the people who live close to the pool and have to listen to the terrified shrieks as you traumatize your progeny.
