aw, man...
i just heard that barack obama's grandmother died.
i know the family knew it was coming, and i know he left campaigning for a good few days to be with her, and he got to say his goodbyes, and she got to see him on the cusp of becoming president of the united states.
but really, deep down, you've got to wish she could have held on for just one more day. :(
EDIT: a very small silver lining here: at least she got to vote for her grandson.

on a completely personal note, i had no idea she used to work at the wichita boeing plant...i wonder if she ever bumped into my grandfather there?
