interview, dinner, drinks, date request, fried food due to presence of grumpy polish man
a good weekend. interview for the grad program went very well. well enough at least that the interviewer told me at the end of the interview that my application is very strong. Now that would be a crushing blow to my assessment of my own interpersonal skills should it not translate to me getting an acceptance letter a month and a half from now, but i think it's safe to say that i'm feeling pretty confident and comfortable.
And a nice evening with s and n night of the interview. and then a very pleasant day today. some anxiety and some dificulty with containment. No breaches, just personal discomfort. after i get in i'll have to decide on a timeline for leaving the job and whether to travel in the interim. n bought a book by lydia davis, the end of the story. flipped through a few pages at the whiskey lounge and it looks really good.

had a very good sushi dinner tonight with b and s. just down the street from my house is a fabulous sushi place. they did a scallop roll that was really kick ass, and i rekindled my love of seaweed salad. adorable people were all over too which was nice.
boy crazy levels are up. i see men and imagine devouring them. just eating em up in one bite yummm.
nice message from d today and a pleasant conversation with c who i will probably see when i go back to philly for m's wedding. the term saturn returns occured way too frequently over last week and a half. guy who friday could only do drinks and sex is asking to cook me dinner on tuesday. which either means some actual budding comfort displaying interest in me, or an important addition to the idea of drinks and sex...food. which could for all i know translate to the start of a friendship...food and mutual caring, concern, support etc being fairly inseperable in my brain. i dunno this one is sort of a mystery.
j asked me on a date saturday night i said yes. i don't know if he'll have been too drunk to follow through.
