My first cold of the season... *sniffle*

Jan 27, 2006 16:02

Usually, at the first sign of the coming cold, I'm sneezing and mildly feverish. This year, I managed to stay disease-free until January! I put it to a) celibacy b) not living in a dorm c) getting regular sleep, with lots of emphasis on c). When I was living at home, I was fulfilling a) and b), but not really b) since UTS life had a heck of a lot of similarities to MIT dorm life. Anyway, my point about c):

Diagram of an illness:
1. Saturday night, I stay up until 10am, doing the whole Senior House basement rave thing. (It was fantastic, by the way.)
2. After one hour of sleep and gallons of coffee, I go hang out with Malchano.
3. Monday, Malchano gets sick.
4. Tuesday, I get sick.

My nose and my sinus have been plain dysfunctional, my throat feels like it's harbouring a restless insect fugitive, and my body just wants me to go back to bed. I've chugged about a gallonohgodi'mturningintoanamericanseveral liters of orange juice in the past two days, since that's my first instinct whenever I start getting sick.

Hell of a week to be moving.

On the upside, I just got a big fat raise! Yay!
