(1) When the MSNBC anchor announced the death of Stephen Tyrone Johns a short time ago, she specifically (and repeatedly) described him as having "passed away". Perhaps she chose her words in some effort to extend some sort of mannered respect to the deceased, but if she did, the gesture fell flat because the description rang false.
