Bong Sun Hwa is finally home!
Yes, Bong arrived yesterday! :D Sadly the mailman delivered her just as we were leaving to go to the museum so I had to wait to open her. :( So it was a bit dark when I did, but I couldn't wait any longer. xD
Yay, a box!
Both boxes were so tiny! :o ^There's my hand for scale.
Her accessories are very cute, and again, so tiny! Now let's lift that pillow...
And there she is! :O I was so happy and amazed to finally see her after 6 months of saving. Hello there!
She's incredibly detailed for such a small doll - really beautifully sculpted and yet she fits in my hand!
Her freckled face is ridiculously cute. That silly little smile makes me happy whenever I see it. ^_^
A little blurry, but at least it shows her posing on her own. She's VERY kicky and seems to be pretty tightly-strung so it's difficult to get her to keep a pose. I'll probably have to fix that when I'm feeling brave. (I hear the old Elfdoll tinies pose well if you fix them up a bit - I think wire/pipe cleaners have been used.) I also have to reposition one of her eyes which is positioned funny. It's not exactly obvious with her narrow eye-holes, but I don't want her eye to look funny forever. :P And I might want to put a snap or velcro or something on her head to keep her wig on. (The wig was a pleasant surprise; I wasn't sure I'd like it but it ended up looking quite cute on her.)
Anyway, although she isn't as easily poseable straight out of the box as Alice, I love her to death. Her name is tentatively going to be April Jin Iseul (April is her first name, the other two are her Korean middle names). Do you think it will fit her?
I had already bought her some Bratz Kidz clothes yesterday (it got too dark for me to take pictures of them last night), and now I suddenly have a huge urge to buy her all sorts of clothes and miniature things. I think she might end up spoiled. ;)
