being stuck in seclusion, even for a bit really does weird things to your brain. and your body.

my family's getting really nervous about my complacency with this boards thing. to be honest, I'M starting to get nervous about my own laziness with this studying thing. the exam's in less than 2 weeks and i still don't know shit about nursing. except that it's an art and a science.

last night, i was holed up in my room, reading when a bunch of firecrackers started, well...cracking and i couldn't help but feel like being locked up on new year's eve. it's just the wind being colder now and the songs on the radio and the entire feeling.

it's almost christmas and i can't even enjoy it. and then, come december 5 onwards, i prolly won't enjoy christmas for an entirely different reason.

i'm trynna psych myself up for future disappointment. that way, when i actually arrives, i won't end up killing myself. sure, i'd be almost consumed with the feeling, but i won't actually go through with it. smart, huh? ^_^

i'm trynna find the full lyrics, or even just the title of this song; it's got the following lines in and i can't, for the life of me, find it anywhere:

"hey, how are you? you have grown. i have known you since we were young"
"leaves fall from trees"
"i found paradise in your beautful eyes"

s'all i remember from it. i absolutely love the song. first heard it (i think) near the end of NEW YORK MINUTE (Olsen twins movie. pardon my previous obsession) when mary-kate and ashley had a falling out and they were walking around New York (Times Square? Blah, i'm useless). if anyone can please, please find the song...i'll give you online cookies for christmas! ^_^

ahh...christmas. my favorite time of the year. alas, it is spoiled and tarnished by the memory of the board exams. honestly, why couldn't they just set it til valentines, maybe? i won't mind if that were ruined. just not my beloved christmas!

*bouncebounce* I. Saw. Harry. Potter. Four.

where do i start, where do i start?

the settings. oh man, ohman, ohmanohman...i LOVE the settings. from the quidditch world cup arena to the winter scene. haaay. too bad about the arena though, they shoulda used it more rather than just a chance to display krum's face to all and sundry.

the plot. as usual, hurried. and very different from the book. every time i go see it (all HP movies), i go home slightly disappointed that they didn't show this or they didn't show this RIGHT. but i understand the whole pressed for time thing, but if you saw it without even reading the book, i don't think you'd understand it well.

the characters. i'm sorry, but daniel (harry) just looks...not so good-looking as he grows. i liked his look better in the first 2 movies. it's the bone structure, i think. oh, but tom. tom! (draco) *gush* he looks so good...WHY didn't they show him more?! why?! the others either looked better or worse.

oh, and for some reason, i DID NOT expect the dark mark to look like that.

TEN YEARS AGO...
it was 1995...i was just but a poor little matchstick--oops. ahehehe, wrong story.

so. 1995 i was in 5th/6th grade. november 1995 i was in 6th grade at south crest school, a li'l private school near where i live in good ol' muntinlupa city! *does arm spread a la Ms. Universe* every weekday, i'd wake up at 4:30, cook rice, take out whatever meat or veggie is to be cooked for breakfast, then go bathe. at 5am, i wake mom up, she starts to cook food for the rest of the day while i get dressed. by 6, i have to be dressed, done eating, brushed my teeth and waiting outside for the school bus with the door locked behind me after mom left for work. i'd go home around 5, "do my homework", play and have to be in bed, finished with dinner and brushed by 10, the time mom arrives.

FIVE YEARS AGO...
2000. i've already started with college. a bright-eyed little girl filled with dreams of becoming a full-fledged physical therapist. although around this time of the year, the novelty of commuting to and from school wore off, i was thisclose to failing algebra (and already hating it with every bone in my dissected frog's body). this is the time when the eyebags started to form, some of the pimples decided to come back (not too much, though), and i was slowly reduced to being the unkempt (uncombed and unironed) person i am today. i owe it all to them.

ONE YEAR AGO...
2004. the girl who, once in her life, promised never to don a nursing uniform cuz of the job it represents was most likely on her way to her 6am hospital duty as none other than a student nurse. ironic how life works that way.
