Yes, folks, that's right. We are moving to Lilburn on Tuesday, September 30th. Well, we'll leave Provo that day and arrive that Friday. We are going to live at my parents' house, but in the basement. It's basically its own apartment, two bedrooms, one bath, huge living room, TV, surround sound, etc. It's pretty much better than our current apartment, except it has no kitchen. My parents are letting us stay there so that we can save up money and pay off debts in preparation for grad school next year. I'm gonna apply at UGA (which is where I hope most that I will get in), UPenn (don't know if my grades are good enough, but heck, I'll try), and maybe some other places. I would really love to get into the Linguistics grad program at UGA. It seems exciting and challenging. Hopefully I will get my PhD there, and I'd love to teach there one day. Who knows. I hope to stay in Georgia for good, but if for some crazy reason I got accepted to UPenn, which has, like, the best Sociolinguistics program in the world, I might consider going there. Maybe after there I could teach at UGA.
Annnnyway....
Point is, the Paulukaitii are making a glorious return to Lilburn! We both plan on working since my mom has promised free childcare (grandson sickness), but Wendy will be working part-time. It'll probably be in the morning more during James' nap time so she can be home with him. I plan on working my butt off, so I may not be all over the place all the time. Still, there are a lot of people I need to see, some of whom I have only seen once or twice in the last 5.5 years.
ALL OF YOU CAN MEET JAMES!! He's seriously the coolest kid evar. However, he is fussing now that he threw his pear bits all over the kitchen floor :).
