Very productive weekend
Awfully proud of myself. Didn't lounge around as I often do on weekends, whiling away the hours watching mindless crap on the telly. No, this weekend, I posted the remainder of my Christmas cards, wrote up cards for work colleagues, bought all my presents, sorted out paperwork, partially tidied my flat in readiness for my friend who is coming to stay on Thursday, did two loads of laundry, got my hair done (it's just below shoulder length now, and a very dark brown), and fixed up a new set of side tables that I got delivered from Argos on Friday. The tables were half price, and look very sleek- all glass and chrome and a perfect match for my dining table. Also got this lovely mirror (for my dining area) at half price and some pretty pictures for the walls. Am finally beginning to decorate my flat properly, after living here nearly two years! Was chuffed to bits when one of the pictures turned out to be a lot bigger and a good deal classier than I thought it was going to be. So now it's going in my kitchen rather than in the hallway. I do love my kitchen/dining area- all sleek black and white and glass with hints of red.
Only thing not accomplished- my SBB stuff. A half written story and a half finished painting are all I have. If I'm not done by next Sunday, I'm going to have to pull out of the fest. *sigh* I did complete an SSHG festive drawing though. Will have that up sometime this week after I've added the finishing touches.
