Let there now be a moment of silence (though I guess a moment of typing would be more appropriate) for my Dimension XPS P90 (with a name like that it ought to be some wild Jack Kirby device from an old Fantastic Four comic), which in addition to serving as faithful cupbearer has been my system for testing software under Windows 95, Windows for Workgroups 3.3, Windows 3.1, large fonts mode, etc., for well over a decade.
According to the FedEx tracking site it is "estimated" that my new laptop will show up here tomorrow, so as part of moving things around to make room and otherwise prepare for it, the P90 is being decommissioned, or probably at least moving to the garage for a while.
