My family is catholic, and personally I laughed out loud at that IC stab. OH MY PAPIST HEART.

Enjoyed this piece, business as usual. o7

I really liked this. :o Very dark and very real. I've always wondered if the nations have faiths, and if they did, was it of their own, or was it the majority of their people~

This gave me much food for thought. :3

Yeah, it's something I've always thought was interesting! I think it's kind of a mix of both, you know? Like, I think the nations will find themselves guided by what the majority of their people believe, but there's room there for their own personal opinions. Like with Russia--he's an atheist in this, and Russia in that time period was an atheist country, but Russia here isn't an atheist because of Marx--he's an atheist because he's gone through so much shit he's become a total nihilist about it.

I always like thinking about how the nations differ from people, and how much free will as individuals they really have. =D

W-wow, I don't even know what to say and where to start, since this is the first time I've read any of your fanfics and I find it to be so very profoundly amazing that I've lost my words. ♥
To tell you the truth, I've never been very interested in the pairing - you could even say that I didn't like it, but I have a reason for writing all this in the past tense, as you may have noticed. I think this fanfic changed my view a little and the intense conversation between the two nations just made me realise how deep can the emotions between Russia and America run, especially when we take into consideration their histories as countries, as nationsI really liked it. A lot ( ... )

Nice to meet you! XD

Firstly, I loved how you jumped right in the middle of the conversation - I'm not sure if this is your customary writing style, but I really liked it.

Yeah, I do that a lot, especially with one-shots. Jumping in medias in res saves time.

I'm not going to start on the fact that my views on God are different

Neither of them expressed anything approaching my views about religion, but I figure, hey, nobody asked me. XD

Thank you, I'm really glad you liked it! I've been wanting to write something like this for a while, but I was a bit nervous, since it's such a personal subject. I hope I see you around some more--I do (occasionally, these days XD) write things that aren't Russia/America, so you should be safe. I love seeing really thoughtful comments like this--they really make writing these fics worth it. =D
