I would have yummy home-made roasted eggplant dip for the family for afternoon tea, only I can't get the lid off the blender. It's sitting there, taunting me.
It's only the second time I've used this blender in the six months I've had it - I wondered why I was reluctant to use it, but didn't remember the problem.
Aaaaaaaaaargh!
But in cuteness news, Little Princess E has taken to picking up the ukelele and singing made up songs to us - mostly along the lines of "there was a princess who was beautiful and a prince came and they danced and they lived happily ever after". I'm not sure if it would help the tunefulness of her playing if we tuned the ukelele. She's also started singing "Baa Baa Rainbow Sheep", who gets thanked by the Master, the Dame and the Little Boy. Pretty cool.
In other musical news, Della has fallen for Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, and is currently sitting in the lounge room singing along with it. Excellent tastes, especially as the CD also has Gershwin's An American in Paris and Copland's Appalachian Spring, two of my all-time favourite pieces of music, so I'm very happy to have it on regularly.
