Today is a public holiday in Japan so I had a busy morning of picking up a few things that I'd been putting off and running a few errands. My route took me past the Sports Alpen store in my neighbourhood, and as they'd stocked all of last seasons GACKT x KISSMARK line and had the displays in store, I thought I'd see if they do this year.
They do XD
It's a far bigger display than last year. In this store, the line has the end of the aisle and three quarters of the aisle itself. Last year, it was cramped into half an aisle with the cut out shoved at the back behind the clothes. There was a TV playing the Making of video on loop as well and I was tempted to just stand and watch it but I thought that would be sad. Plus, I had a box of trainers in my hand that I wanted to buy and I was worried they'd think I was planning to shoplift them or something... hahahaha.
This is the end of the aisle.
(I adore the photo of him on the display wearing the goggles and hat, hahahaha)
I couldn't get far enough away to get a full shot but underneath some T-shirts were loose and they had the bags (they're gorgeous!)
This is a poster in the actual aisle.
See the spelling mistake?
Bwahahahahahahahahahaha.
I wondered if it was just a play on GACKT, but the KISSMARK site and web store spells it correctly as jacket so I'm assuming it's a spelling error.
Or someone at KISSMARK ships it. Either way.
And I did buy something... just the cheap ticket holder/pass case.
I've wanted a pass case to clip onto my work bag for sometime so it wasn't just buying for the sake of buying it. It's purple, shiny and GACKT. I couldn't resist. I won't be buying anything else though. The JACKT jackets and trousers are beautiful and look really warm, but I'm not snowboarding anytime soon and can think of better uses for all of that cash!
Between this in the sports stores and the Norton displays in the electrical/computer stores shopping is a lot prettier these days XD
