I'm very aware that some of my fandom opinions (such as not sharing paid content, etc) aren't very popular and cause a lot of criticism behind my back. I'm not stupid, I do see the comments. I don't actively defend myself against them, because I don't care

Anyway, essentially what I said was, that Gackt may have posted a blog for Dears only, but he must have known that it would soon be sent out publicly. It's the nature of the internet, and most notably the nature of people. What people don't seem to realise is that they are contributing to the demise of the artist by sharing that which the artist makes his life from. Having said that, I went to Japan and spent thousands of dollars because I happened upon a downloadable copy of 'Vanilla' of all things. We wouldn't have even heard of Gackt otherwise, would we?
So it's a Catch 22. All we can hope for is to inform all of the people who feel it is their right to own content that they didn't pay for that if no one paid for it, they wouldn't own it at all.
UGGHHHH!
I support you more that you know my dear. I'd send YOU money if I could afford it..

Yes, this. I think people are terribly inclined to forget that their fandom loves are real people with real people's feelings and concerns, no matter how famous they get. I try to treat everyone I love as a fan in the same way that I would treat a respected friend - but I think for a lot of people, their so-called fannish "love" is more to do with greed and entitlement. They forget that there is a real, feeling human being on the other end of the equation, who may on any given day be feeling tired or insecure, who may make simple mistakes, who may get sick or hurt themselves, who may sometimes just need their feelings to be respected. I wish people would think about that more. :(
