Oh, Bay City. All you do is make my life full of drama. I get home, DD for an extremely drunken mother who's made the executive decision that spitting my water at me all night is THE BEST way to show that she's happy I'm home.
Then, my computer (Jimmy) decides not to turn on again, and Best Buy wants at least $238 that I will never see again if they can't fix it, just to send it away. So, my dad takes him to his work to get looked at, and the fucking thing turns right on as soon as his guru takes out the battery. Not taht I didn't try it, or that the guy at Best Buy didn't try it...we did, its just a piece of shit computer and I hate it forever. So now I have no idea what will happen. My dad doesnt want to send it away, but its no good to me if I can't do my thesis work on it...(he did tell me to go look at new computers :)
But I don't really care what I get as long as it works. Make it the cheapest thing in the world, for all I care, as long as I can use AIM, photoshop, and watch movies. That's all I need.
Anyway, so all of those things are not going well. I've only got to hang out with Emmers and Danny, and not that I don't love them a lot, but where the hell is everyone else? Katie was in Traverse City, Rebecca is downstate, Michael Markel is still in Kalamazoo, but Melissa, Kayla, Jeremy...they all are just working. I want them to be on break, too. Damn people in the "real world." I'm not home long enough for them to work!
Okay, now on to the not bitching half of my entry. HOORAY!! So, as a replacement for Emily, I'm going to see All American Rejects tonight at the State Theatre in Detroit! So excited! Also, I got my $150 check for partial reimbursement of Utah, which I am uber excited for, because I was piss broke and couldn't afford gifts for my friends. Now, after I buy gifts I will be broke again, but at least this way they get something for putting up with me.
Went to see Joe yesterday (my very old distant cousin that my parents have adopted and now babysit and do homehealthcare for). He has decided he wants me to marry some "fruity" guy that takes care of him during the night shift. Between him and Karen trying to hook me up with the Karaokee guy who works with his grandmother, people must think I'm a soddy case. They learn.
Also, going tanning to protect myself from burning too much in Curacao. After one day I can already tell. That's because I'm an albino, but its neat to look like summer! Maybe I'll get as dark as I id with that spray tan when I ran for Munger Potato Queen. I dare say, I looked hot.
