Iffy weather and nothing planned...
Nothing planned today and the weather is sort of off... it's that annoying 30% chance of rain and the sky is just overcast and ugly.
No errands to run, and no meeting the few people I know for lunch so we are here. Lil' P is taking his morning nap right now so I thought I'd do a quick load of laundry etc. Oh the excitement.
I haven't joined a Mom group and I don't see that happening. At least no time soon. They seem hard to fit in Sam's schedule right now because they meet when he's either napping or eating and the ones I've found want the baby fed before meeting which isn't an option for us. Plus the fact that I'm pretty sure I wouldn't fit into any of the groups I'm coming across... and that's all I need more people drama.
So yeah... A cousin is getting married in Philly this weekend but we're not going. She wanted a kid free reception (even though the invite didn't say that) and I was not willing to have a stranger sit Sammy in a hotel room. Not gonna happen. But what she doesn't realize is that since she didn't put that on the invite people will bring their kids and she can't get upset with them for it.
Of course I'll be talked about because I wouldn't just hire a sitter and attend the wedding so lucky me. My sister is missing the wedding because she didn't know what city she'd be in the weekend of the wedding, but evidently moving is a good enough reason for not attending but having a rule of only family and close friends as sitters until the baby can talk isn't.
Screwed no matter what you do so might as well just do what works for us.
